Here's the text from a resignation letter I happned upon date Sept. 8/2004:
Dear Brad,
I have enjoyed working with you but I have decided that I need to end my career at (REMOVED). I find that the duties and responsibilities of my position do not match my interests and talents.
(REMOVED) operates in a constant CRISIS atmosphere in which I am not comfortable working.
In order to give you some to find a replacement, I am willing to give you up to 4 weeks notice prior to my leaving.
If you would rather make a quick clean break, I understand that as well.
My decision to leave should not be viewed as a negative reflection on you or any of the people that I have been working with. I just need to move onto doing things that I am more interested in and feel better suited for.
Regards
Jeff (REMOVED)
